Canadian and international doctoral students nominated by an eligible Canadian institution. Judged on Academic Excellence, Research Potential, and Demonstrated Leadership.
Direct wire transfer to the host university covering international student tuition rates.
Monthly allowance for housing, food, and utilities (£1,400–£1,700 or $2,200–$2,800/mo).
Booked through government travel agents from home country international airport to destination.
Immigration Health Surcharge (IHS) or university health insurance fully paid by sponsoring body.
3-Year Doctoral (PhD) Degrees at Nominating Canadian Universities
Equivalent to minimum 65-70% aggregate in an undergraduate degree from an accredited university.
No individual sub-score band below 6.0 in Reading, Listening, Speaking, or Writing components.
Chevening requires 2,800 hours; Fulbright requires strong professional leadership track record.

Submit proof of degree completion and language test scores to fulfill all university conditions.
University issues Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (UK) or Form I-20 (USA) linking your scholarship award.
Undergo mandatory IOM tuberculosis screening and biometric appointment at the local visa application center.
Receive entry clearance vignette in your passport and coordinate flight booking with the scholarship secretariat.
Ensure your academic transcripts, English proficiency test reports, and references are ready prior to 01 Nov 2026.
